Since March is International Women's Month, I'd like to recommend five books either by women authors or biographies about women.
Since March is International Women's Month, I'd like to recommend five books either by women authors or biographies about women.
The Four Winds, by Kristin Hannah: A book about the human condition including grit, poverty, resilience, prejudice, and love, which gives the reader a very interesting insight on the cultural prejudices women faced in the XX century in the US.
Better Than Before, by Gretchen Rubin: One of my favorite books on habits, it teaches a number of techniques and tools for building and sticking to habits, and also helps you adjust those tools based on your personality, a first in any habits book.
Powerful, by Patty McCord: By the Head of People at Netflix from its inception, Patty drove and oversaw the talent transformation that turned Netflix into a company known for its high standards for talent and basis for its $240 Billion valuation.
The Manager's Path, by Camille Fournier: A successful CTO and VP of Engineering, Camille wrote one of the first and most foundational books explaining the technical leader's path from team lead to CTO – required reading for anybody in that path.
Code Breaker, by Walter Isaacson: Jennifer Doudna's biography, the astounding Nobel Prize winner responsible for numerous foundational contributions to genetics, including the work on CRISPR gene editing, which gave humans the ability to precisely manipulate genes.
